What started your interest in collecting?
It is difficult to say exactly when. I always considered myself a bit of an historian. I enjoyed learning about the roots of most major powers throughout time, but something just stuck about the Japanese history and the legend of the Samurai. They were always seen as this ultimate warrior who practiced a life of honour and dedication to to the art of being a Samurai. Much of their success was due to them being able to use this almost perfect weapon as if it were a natural extension to their body. So I guess you can say even before stepping foot on Japanese soil, I had already been slightly obsessed with the idea of owning my own piece of history.
