Shigekuni the 1st worked for Tokugawa Ieyasu and was regarded as one of the best Shinto smiths. This blade is elegant and long, suriage a little with the complete Mei. It has 2 oversized mekugi-ana and the school was known for very large peg holes. The fittings are bird them mixed with a Higo Fuchi / Kashira, the saya is very old and has an interesting lacquer work with another higo Kojiri.
