Koi Tsuba signed Eiju Seiryuken with Gold Kao
A lovely Edo period wakizashi size tsuba signed Eiju Seiryuken with gold inlay Kao. He worked both in Osaka and Edo and was the adopted son of Tetsugendo Shoraku Naoshige.
The imagery is a very classic story of the Koi persevering its way up the waterfall, and for reaching the top was rewarded and turned into a Dragon by the Gods who recognized its efforts.
