Muromachi Tanto Signed Kanetsune

Tokubetsu papered Mino tanto dating the last year of Tenbun (1555 Ad). Signed by Kanetsune, Oda Nobunaga himself granted Kanetsune the honorary title seki-kaji-toryo, which translates “head of all Seki smiths”.  While displaying some imperfections (which is often seen in Mino work) this example has a splendid Hamon with large amounts of Utsuri.
