Wakizashi made by both Nobuyori & Shigetaka

A spectacular early Edo period Wakizashi made by the combined effort of two smiths, the nakago bears the signature of both “Echizen-jū Harima no Daijō Fujiwara Shigetaka” and opposite side “Iwami ni Kami Fujiwara Nobuyori”. Superbly forged piece that has been awarded Tokubetsu Hozon by the NBTHK. It has a great Edo period koshirae with very high quality saya made from large pieces of mother of pearl, this was an extremely expensive and time consuming task ….. more details and pictures soon to come.
