Museum Daisho set with Dragon Horimono

Once exhibited in Japan’s Niigata museum this massive daisho set made and signed by Hisakazu of Ise. Dated in April of 1860AD this would have been very early work of Hisakazu. The Naginata Naoshi Wakizashi adds a nice element in blade construction. Both blades are accompanied with recent NBTHK Hozon. The extra special element is the Kiri-Tsuke Mei is from the well regarded Abe Akitada who made a perfectly chiselled and lively Dragon Horimono.
